Conditions to Apply

In order to apply for the Lyfebulb-CSL Behring Innovation Challenge and Award, applicant must fulfill all the below conditions:

(a) The applicant/company must be working on an innovative solution categorized under devices, diagnostics, consumer products, products for healthcare professionals, or healthcare IT.

(b) The applicant/company must be working on an innovative solution to directly treat or manage transplant, or support overall physical and mental well-being.

(c) The applicant has been affected by transplantation as either a patient, donor or support partner for a loved one.

(d) The applicant must have established a registered company for developing and commercializing his or her idea, concept, product or service (for example, holding a position in key management or as board member).

(d1) The company must be an emerging private company.

(e) The applicant’s idea, concept, product or service must be original and not include altered or copied products from third parties.

(f) The applicant’s idea, concept, product or service must, to the applicant’s knowledge, be free of third party rights, including intellectual property rights.

(g) Applicant must be 18 years of age or older.

(h) Finalists will be required to sign an agreement with Lyfebulb and CSL Behring to ensure compliance with policies.

(i) Any entity in which Lyfebulb, CSL Behring, or their affiliates has a financial interest may not apply.

U.S. Applicants

Patients participating in any U.S. government, state, or federally funded medical or prescription benefit programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, Medigap, VA, DOD, and TRICARE, are not eligible to participate. This includes patients participating in a Managed Medicaid plan or who have Medicaid as secondary insurance.

No Referral or Product Use Requirement. Application imposes no referral or CSL Behring product or service use requirement.

Personal Data. Applicant hereby acknowledges that the provision of personal data for the Lyfebulb-CSL Behring Innovation Challenge and Award (“Event”) sponsored by Lyfebulb LLC (“Lyfebulb”) and CSL Behring LLC (“CSL Behring”) is necessary for the performance of any relationship with the applicant for the following purposes: (i) to verify applicant’s identity upon application; (ii) to contact and respond to applicant’s requests and enquiries; (iii) to deliver services to applicant. When submitting an application for the Event, applicant expressly consents to the processing, including the collection, use, disclosure, reporting and retention by Lyfebulb and CSL Behring of the applicant’s personal and business information contained in the application for all purposes related to the Event. As may be required for the above purposes, applicant hereby authorizes and grants the unrestricted permission to the publication of the applicant’s name and entrepreneurial story on Lyfebulb’s and CSL Behring’s websites as well as on their social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.), in accordance with and to the extent permitted by the applicable data protection laws and legal and/or regulatory requirements. Applicant is kindly requested to tick the following box to signify he/she agrees to the processing of his/her personal data for the purposes described above.
