Omar Hassan is an internationally renowned and celebrated artist whose technique, style and personality break away from conventional approaches. In his work, Hassan explores the gravity of disease and simultaneously emanates positivity and the powerful urge to overcome adversity.

Astrid and Remy Bonnasse are co-founders of DietSensor, the first nutrition app with sensors, that is able to tell you what is in your food (Carbs, Fat, Protein). In 2013, their daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. As a result of struggling with carb counting for their child, the innovative duo decided to create an app to to help the hundreds of millions of people struggling with nutrient counting because of a chronic condition (Diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity and more). They both dropped their careers as Management and HR Consultants and created DietSensor based on SCiO, from Consumer Physics, the first handheld spectrometer in the world. DietSensor was quickly named Best of Innovation Award at the 2016 Consumer Electronic Show, which makes it one of the most cutting edge tech products and services coming to market in the world for 2016. Remy is a former Director at Deloitte and Capgemini Consulting. Astrid worked for 17 years in Human Resources for the prestigious BCG and Deloitte.

Dr. Shantanu Gaur is the Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Allurion Technologies. Shantanu founded Allurion in 2009 to develop disruptive devices for the weight loss industry that are more effective than diet and exercise but safer, cheaper, and more accessible than weight loss surgery. Allurion’s flagship product—Elipse™—is the world’s first procedureless gastric balloon for weight loss and is now available for commercial sale in Europe. Shantanu also serves as a board member for Genetic Alliance, a non-profit committed to putting the participant back at the center of healthcare. Shantanu graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Biology from Harvard College and with an M.D. from Harvard Medical School where he was Paul & Daisy Soros Fellow. He lives in Cambridge, MA with his wife Neha, who is a Type 1 Diabetic.

Lindsay Jurist-Rosner is the Co-Founder and CEO of Wellthy, Inc. a company dedicated to helping the 66 milllion Americans who are caring for their sick and aged loved ones. Before Wellthy, Lindsay served as the Senior Vice President of Marketing at Simulmedia. Prior to Simulmedia, Lindsay ran Marketing Research at Machinima; worked in product and strategic marketing at Microsoft; worked in marketing at LA-based startup, Spot Runner; and ran the west coast advertising and marketing relationships for the magazine, The Atlantic. Lindsay has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics‐Operations Research from Columbia University. Lindsay lives on the Upper West Side in New York City.

Mr. Moradi is a successful entrepreneur, having founded or been a principal in several nanotechnology and biopharmaceutical startups. He is a Co-Founder & CEO of Sensulin, LLC, a biopharmaceutical company that is developing a glucose-responsive insulin for Type I and Type II Diabetes, which aims to eliminate the 4-8 daily injections required by T1D patients, in lieu of one daily dose taken with breakfast.   Mr. Moradi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Oklahoma.

Anna Sjӧberg is the CEO and founder of AnnaPS Scandinavia. As a Type 1 Diabetic since 1998, Ms. Sjӧberg wears an insulin pump and began to design underwear with pockets so that she would be able to wear the pump at night, when she was exercising, or when she wanted to use clothes without pockets such as dresses. AnnaPS released its first products in 2011. She has a master’s degree in engineering and previously had a career as a production manager within numerous Swedish engineering industries, mostly within the Sandvik concern.
