Asher Kornbluth, MD

Dr. Kornbluth, is currently a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York.  Dr. Kornbluth is a member of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Internal Medicine for internal medicine and gastroenterology. He holds membership in the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for which he was selected as both an honored educator and again as an honored clinician. He has been selected as Teacher of the Year for 6 consecutive years at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. In 2009, he was the awarded the William Dock Award Lifetime Teaching Award by Downstate Medical Center of the State University of New York.  As author or coauthor, Dr. Kornbluth’s research work has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals including The New England Journal of Medicine, Annals of Internal Medicine, American Journal of Gastroenterology, Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology, Alimentary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, and Gastroenterology.
