Quick and Delicious Breakfast Bowls
Do you follow any food bloggers or Instagrammers? If you do, you might have noticed posts similar to these, especially with vegans.
This is my favorite way to eat a variety of fruit and seeds in one bowl. They are packed with nutrients, they’re super quick and easy to make, and they’re a BURST of flavor in your mouth!
All you need is any fruit of your choice (blueberries, pear, banana, raspberries, mango, etc), seeds (like flax, hemp, and chia), oatmeal, and any other toppings you want (like nuts, chocolate syrup, and shredded coconut). Then, just place in whatever arrangement you want or throw them all in a bowl and enjoy!
HEALTH BENEFITS (of fruit for these breakfast bowls)
Blackberries – High in vitamin C and fiber, with good amounts of potassium, manganese, copper, and magnesium. Similar to blueberries in health benefits, but also alleviate hemorrhoids, labor pains, and diarrhea.
Strawberries – Excellent source of vitamin C, which boost your immune system and eye health. Fight bad cholesterol and reduce inflammation of the joints. Recommended to pregnant women during their early stages to help develop the baby’s brain, skull, and spinal cord.
Banana – High potassium, which keeps your muscles healthy and reduces muscle cramps after exercise. Eating them before exercising also sustains your blood sugar. Help overcome depression and PMS. Help digestion, weight loss, intelligence and focus, and reduce nausea from morning sickness. Mango – Excellent source of fiber, vitamin B6, vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E. They also contain selenium, calcium, iron and phosphorus, along with tons more vitamins and minerals. Prevent cancer, heart problems, weight gain. Cure anemia and acne, and improve your immune system. Beneficial for pregnant women, instead of taking iron pills.
Apple – High in vitamin C, B-complex vitamins, fiber, calcium, potassium, and phosphorus. Reduce the risk of cancer, hypertension, diabetes, stroke, and heart disease. Improve brain health and reduce disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease.
Passion fruit – Vitamin A, vitamin C, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, fiber, and protein. Improve your immune system, blood pressure and circulation, bone health, eye health, and digestive system. Prevent cancer, slow aging, and reduce asthma attacks. Reduce restlessness, insomnia, and anxiety.
